I just pretty much made Joe's same comment, on another board. I was pretty psyched that the anti-government group that I suppose most people would assign the role of "leftist" to was ultimately just as willing throw away individual (female) autonomy as the folks in the right-wing role. I've seen a lot of comments about the movie saying it's conservative propaganda and just as many saying it's liberal propaganda, and that makes me giggle with glee. I thought it was interesting that that the movie's title is "Children of Men." And that women were assigned 100% of the blame for humanity's infertility. And Caine totally stole the show. His role is pretty much all of my daddy's friends aged a decade and put in England. I dug him a lot. I saw it yesterday. I just pretty much made Joe’s same comment, on another board. It has the unique ability to leave the audience not paying attention to the great special effects because the story is so solid. Good call.
